Wrocław University of Science and Technology researchers receive Preludium Bis grants

Researchers at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology – Dr Eng. Paulina Kasperkiewicz-Wasilewska, Prof. of the University from the Faculty of Chemistry and Dr Eng. Bartosz Zajączkowski, Prof. of the University from the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering are the winners of the Preludium Bis competition of the National Science Centre. They received a total of almost PLN 1.3 million for their research.

Dr Bartosz Zajączkowski won PLN 586 000 for ‘Improvement of heat transfer parameters during boiling with the use of an in-situ created nanoparticle coating’, while Dr Paulina Kasperkiewicz-Wasilewska received PLN 688 000 for ‘Macrocyclic peptides for the study of transmembrane serine proteases’.

The Preludium Bis competition is aimed at units running doctoral schools. It assumes support for doctoral students’ education and financing of research projects carried out by doctoral students as part of their doctoral theses.
