The Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the health resort commune of Lądek-Zdrój have decided to introduce “green” solutions. In the signed letter of intent, the signatories decided to cooperate and list the initiatives they want to implement.
The partners will carry out research and seek funds for joint research and implementation grants. The cooperation will be related to the production of energy from renewable sources, including with the plans to build a photovoltaic farm in Lądek-Zdrój and provide the development of the local geothermal well.
Lądek-Zdrój wants to use national and EU subsidies to become energy independent. As a health resort, it wants to get rid of the problem of low emissions, smog and excessive production of carbon dioxide. The town is preparing the construction of a 1.5 MW solar farm, which should meet the energy demand for all public buildings and the commune’s lighting.
