The Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology of the Wrocław University of Technology will cooperate with company OMYA. The plans include cooperation in research projects, student internships, field trips and paid internships.
The partners’ plans also include: creating expert opinions for OMYA, providing research materials and cooperation in research projects financed by the National Center for Research and Development and the European Union (including e.g. vibration and noise measurements on conveyors and crushers, research in health and safety or analysis of the possibility of replacing wheeled transport with conveyor transport).
Omya is a producer of industrial minerals, mainly calcium carbonate and dolomite fillers and pigments, and a global distributor of specialty chemicals. The company was founded in 1884 in Switzerland and currently operates on a global scale, having over 175 production plants in over 50 countries and employing 8,000 employees.
