University of Lodz to hold open lecture “Man and new technologies. The Humanistic Perspective”

The Social Innovation Center of the University of Lodz invites participants to an open meeting as part of the “For Practice” program on May 30. During the event, Dr. Marta Songin-Mokrzan will give a lecture on “Man and new technologies. The humanistic perspective.”

The lecture will address issues of human identity in opposition to non-human factors – animals and products of technology such as robots or androids. The scholar will also explore the issue of the practical application of the humanities in new technologies.

Marta Songin-Mokrzan is a PhD in the field of ethnology, assistant professor at the Laboratory of Practical Anthropology at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy and History of the University of Lodz. She deals with the anthropology of materiality, anthropology of technology, ethnography of production processes, philosophy and ontology of machines.
