The Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP) conducted a survey aimed at examining students’ attitudes towards vaccination.
Questions were asked in the last week of November. The survey was addressed to approx. 600 thousand students at 160 Polish universities. It was filled by almost 150,000. students. The survey analysis shows that about 75 per cent Polish students have been vaccinated against COVID-19, and slightly over 50% of scholars intend to take a booster dose.
All respondents were asked what kind of reasons were the most important in deciding whether to get vaccinated or not. The respondents indicated that belief in the effectiveness of vaccines, the real risk of falling ill and a sense of responsibility for others as three the most important reasons. The fewest people said that they were motivated by pressure from the environment and fear for their reaction in making their decision.
Rectors associated with the KRASP are in favor of introducing regulations that would allow universities to verify covid certificates or to require a test to be performed before entering the university’s premises.
