Dr Eng. Jarosław Górecki from the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Environmental Engineering from the Bydgoszcz University of Technology is among the 104 winners of Bourses du Gouvernement Français. It is a scholarship awarded to selected scientists from Poland by the French government. In a few months, the laureate will begin his research at the University of Clermont Auvergne.

The scientist from Bydgoszcz has been dealing with the problems of the circular economy for many years, cooperating in this area with Spanish researchers. In his opinion, the subject of the risk of transformation of the construction industry towards a circular economy is closely related to the values that prevail both in France and the entire European Union.

“Circular economy, by definition, promotes innovative solutions or thinking in terms of the entire life cycle of products and is compatible with sustainable development, which is to serve every citizen”, says the scholarship holder.
