The scientist is the head of the Industrial Electronics Department at the Institute of Control and Industrial Electronics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. It is the culmination of his many years of work and activity at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which one of the branches is IEEE IES.

Professor Mariusz Malinowski was elected for the position of president-elect in 2020-2021 and he will be the president of the IEEE IES in the years 2022-2023. The selection was made during the last IEEE IES board meeting that took place on October 18, 2019 in Lisbon.

Professor Malinowski was the editor-in-chief of “IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine” and an assistant editor at “IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics” and “IEEE Transaction on Power Electronics”. He co-organized over 20 international IEEE conferences. Currently, he is the chairman of the Polish Section of IEEE and the vice president of publications in the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. He holds the highest title in IEEE marked as IEEE Fellow, which is awarded for special technical and organizational achievements.
