The Department of Sports Dietetics has been officially opened at the Academy of Physical Education in Poznań. The unit has at its disposal a laboratory for exercise research, body composition and nutritional status, a laboratory for dietary assessment and consultation, a laboratory for metabolic and molecular research and a laboratory for specific exercise capacity research.
The scientific activities of the Department include basic and applied research in the field of nutritional and supplementation support of physical performance and exercise capacity and nutritional status in diverse groups of athletes and physically active people, as well as healthy and sick physically inactive people.
All research projects carried out at the new facility are conducted in interuniversity cooperation, some of them in international collaboration.
