The fastest academic computing system in Poland dedicated to the needs of artificial intelligence with a capacity of over 4 Pflops (petaflops) was launched at the Cyfronet Academic Computer Center of the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow.

The new infrastructure has been added to Prometheus, the largest Polish supercomputer, which will enrich traditional simulations with methods based on machine learning conducted in the same computing environment and on shared data sets.

The new infrastructure will enable research using artificial intelligence methods that can also be used to enrich research work based on HPC (high performance computing) simulations.

Cyfronet AGH is currently implementing a number of projects using artificial intelligence methods in various fields.
