The SIGNUM Mathematics Popularization Center operating at the Faculty of Computer Science of the Bialystok University of Technology is organizing for the sixth time the national competition “Applied Mathematics”.
Due to the epidemic situation, and in particular because of the distance-learning mode at secondary schools, the deadline for registering contest participants has been extended. It is also planned to move the final of the competition or to conduct it online.
Only registered teams of two students can take part in the competition. The participants can apply till February 19, 2021.
Secondary school students may participate in the competition which offers a free admission to any study at Białystok University of Technology. In the competition students must demonstrate mathematical knowledge and the ability to apply it in practice, incl. in statistical tasks, conducting experiments and measurements.
