The new results in innovation include five thousand innovative ideas, almost a thousand projects, over PLN 4.7 billion in funding for their implementation. According to the BRadar+ study, the programmes of the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), the experience of scientific institutions in developing innovative solutions is growing.

The published BRadar+ survey report, authored by Dr Barbara Kowalczyk, concerns the experience of scientific institutions in applying for and implementing R&D projects.

66% of the 595 scientific institutions operating in Poland with the status of a university or institute paid R&D expenditures in 2020. Approximately 60% of scientific institutions applied to the NCRD between 2015 and 2021, and one-third implemented R&D projects under the Centre’s programmes. The scientific world is involved in both national, European (Intelligent Development Programme) and international programmes.

In terms of the number of R&D projects carried out under the wings of the National Centre for Research and Development, universities such as the Warsaw University of Technology, the AGH University of Science and Technology, the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the Łódź University of Technology and the Silesian University of Technology dominated among scientific institutions.
