On Thursday, April 23, Polish universities will hold a nationwide event under the slogan “Virus-proof courses – what to study to have a good job regardless of crises?” This is part of this year’s campaign ” Girls for Technical Universities!” and “Girls for exact science!”

This pioneering and largest project promoting technical, engineering and exact sciences among young women in Poland and in Central and Eastern Europe was initiated by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation.

The idea of the project was created in 2006. Since then, over 200,000 secondary school graduates have participated in the program, and the popularity of technical universities among girls is growing every year.

This year, the campaign will be realized online. The organizers want to convince girls to study at technical universities and to choose scientific subjects. In addition, they will present virus- proof directions, i.e. those studies, which give the security of having an interesting, stable job even in times of global crisis, enabling remote work. The organizers will present courses that are crucial for business, develop the competences of the future (including creativity, the ability to solve complex problems, critical thinking, continuous learning ability) and combine knowledge with practical skills.
