Consolidation of the Łukasiewicz Research Network Institutes

On October 1, 2020, the Łukasiewicz Research Network’s organizations: the Institute of Electron Technology (Łukasiewicz – ITE) and the Institute of Electronic Materials Technology (Łukasiewicz – ITME) will merge into one consolidated group. The aim is to strengthen the commercialization potential of Łukasiewicz Network and develop the new research directions.

Materials engineering, electronics, physics and chemistry are the main areas of activity of Łukasiewicz – ITE and ITME institutes, belonging to leading research and development organizations in Poland. Over the last 6 years, the Institutes have been involved in the implementation of over 250 scientific and research projects, financed from domestic and foreign sources.

Combining the competences of the Institutes by the Łukasiewicz Research Network will allow to develop new research directions of the advanced materials technology for applications in nanophotonics and micro- and nanoelectronics new devices and systems.
