The Medical University of Warsaw (WUM) and the Information Processing Centre – National Research Institute (OPI-PIB) have signed a cooperation agreement that will concern the conduct of research and communication of results, the use of artificial intelligence in medicine, and the popularisation of knowledge, good practices and experiences regarding digital transformation and modern technologies.

The agreement also mentions such joint activities as data exchange, cooperation in applying for scientific grants, content consultations and joint scientific publications.

The cooperation between the Information Processing Centre and the Warsaw Medical University is much more than a mere clash between computer scientists and medics. It is a passionate interdisciplinary journey into the world of dynamic technological development. “The use of artificial intelligence in diagnosis and medical data management not only opens the door to innovative solutions in diagnosis, treatment and medical data management, but also harbours the potential to significantly improve the quality of healthcare”, said Dr Jarosław Protasiewicz, Director of OPI-PIB.
