The “electronic nurse” conducts the first, basic examination of patients in the emergency department of the Regional Hospital in Przemyśl. It examines blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, saturation, as well as chest pains and capillaries filling time.
The results are processed by a special algorithm, which allows for an objective assessment of the patients’ condition and determines the order of further procedures provided by real doctors. The full diagnosis lasts from 60 to 90 seconds.
The “electronic nurse” deals with patients of all ages, including newborns. It improves work, usually crowded hospital emergency departments. Quick diagnosis increases patient safety, facilitates the management of medical personnel and speeds up decisions on the further course of treatment. (Kp)
