Finalists of the Prof. Tadeusz Kotarbinski Award competition

The Jury of the Prof. Tadeusz Kotarbinski Award has selected 5 works that will compete for the title of the best humanities work published in Poland in 2022. By decision of the Jury, since the ninth competition, the prize for the author of the best book in the humanities has increased from PLN 50,000 to PLN 70,000. The author of the winning book will be announced on 26 November 2023.

The finals of the 9th competition include the following works published in 2022:

Dr Anna Róża Burzyńska ‘Georg Büchner’s Anatomical Atlas’, Jagiellonian University (UJ) Publishing House, submitted by the Department of Theatre and Drama, Faculty of Polish Studies, UJ;

Dr Jakub Gałęziowski ‘Untold biographies. Polish Children Born Because of the War”, Krytyka Polityczna Publishing House, submitted by the Faculty of Arts and Culture, University of Warsaw;

Dr Piotr Kendziorek ‘Philosophy towards the Holocaust. Concepts of Martin Heidegger’s critical theory and post-structuralism”, published and submitted by the Jewish Historical Institute;

Prof. Roman Kuźniar ‘Twilight of the liberal international order 2011-2021’, published and submitted by Wydawnictwo Naukowe SCHOLAR;

Prof. Dr. Mateusz Wyżga ‘Peasantry. History without a tie’, published and submitted by Społeczny Instytut Wydawniczy Znak.
