The Medical University of Gdansk (GUMed) has become a member of the European University Association (EUA) – an association of universities from all over Europe, aiming to exchange knowledge and good practices in the organisation of university work and teaching and research activities.

‘It is important that we participate fully in the European circulation of ideas and thoughts that shape universities and academia. From now on, we will have access to a network of diverse universities in Europe, which should support us in the creation of partnerships and contribute to the strategic development of the University’, says, GUMed’s Vice-Chancellor for Science, Prof. Michał Markuszewski.

The EUA brings together more than 850 institutions from 49 countries. The association provides its members with better cooperation through staff exchanges and the organisation of various events devoted to teaching, scientific and research work, as well as issues related to the functioning and structure of academic centres.
