Ground-breaking clinical, teaching and research investment of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin

The Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin has signed a contract for the construction of a facility for a landmark clinical, teaching and research investment. The project will provide comfortable conditions for the development of the university’s specialist units, significantly support its teaching facilities and create a base for the university’s outpatient clinic team at the Independent Public Clinical Hospital No. 1. 

Sixteen clinical and teaching units will operate in the new facility, including the Centre for Translational Medicine and the Collegium Pharmaceuticum. There will be 49 teaching and lecture rooms, including an auditorium with more than 400 seats, as well as laboratories, outpatient clinics. 

The project also provides for an underground car park with approximately 600 parking spaces, which will also be available to patients of the hospital at Unia Lubelska Street. The total usable area of the facility will be approximately 49,000 sq. m. – as much as more than seven football pitches.
