The Silesian University of Technology is hosting a group of students and staff from the Ukrainian Volyn State University in Lutsk. The purpose of the visit is for the students to participate in special workshops on the practical aspects of various areas of medical rehabilitation.

The group of Ukrainian students took part in a rehabilitation workshop organised at the European HealthTech Innovation Center (EHTIC) of the Silesian University of Technology.

“We prepared a series of training courses for a group of physiotherapists who came to us to improve their competencies in the field of rehabilitation in the broadest sense. In this case, we are focusing on the rehabilitation of war victims, as such needs are there in Ukraine,” says the director of the EHTIC, Prof. Marek Gzik.

The co-organisers of the Ukrainian students’ visit are the Jerzy Kukuczka Academy of Physical Education in Katowice and the Upper Silesian Rehabilitation Centre “Repty” in Tarnowskie Góry.
