Internationalisation of Research and Transdisciplinary Education at the Doctoral School of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn

“Internationalisation of Research and Transdisciplinary Education at the Doctoral School of the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn” is a project that will be implemented at the University of Warmia and Mazury over the next three years. The university received nearly PLN 2 million from the NAWA Ster programme for this purpose.

The aim of the NAWA Ster programme is to provide systemic support for the internationalisation of doctoral schools in Poland. This means taking such financial care of these schools that they can more boldly recruit doctoral students and supervisors from abroad, carry out cooperation between doctoral schools and exchange experiences of teams teaching in different countries.

The UWM Doctoral School project, which will be implemented until the end of 2026, envisages, among other things: the awarding of 15 six-month scholarships to the best doctoral students from abroad; 18 internships at renowned foreign scientific institutions indicated by participants in the doctoral school; or guest lectures for doctoral students (Sustainable Environment, Socio-Econ
