The inventions from the Lublin University of Technology received two medals (gold and silver) at the KIDE International Invention and Design Fair in Taiwan. The event was organized on December 2-4, 2021 by the World Association of Intellectual Property and Inventiveness. The fair was attended by representatives of 229 organizations from 31 countries. The jury assessed a total of 412 inventions.

Gold medal and a special award were won by the invention “numerically controlled inclined rolling mill”, developed by Prof. Zbigniew Pater, Prof. Janusz Tomczak and Dr Eng. Tomasz Bulzak from the Department of Metal Forming. The rolling mill is used for rolling forgings. It enables more precise positioning of working tools and economic production of short series of products.

The “Intelligent Abrasive Paste” received a silver medal. Its creators are Prof. Tomasz Klepka and Agnieszka Nowacka from the Department of Technology and Processing of Polymer Plastics. Abrasive paste is a response to the demand for new technologies in processing difficult-to-machine surfaces.
