The goals of the pilot scholarship program for students studying medicine include: financial support for future doctors and improvement of the staffing situation in Masovian hospitals. 5th and 6th-year students of medicine will be able to apply for support.

Scholarships will be awarded from the beginning of the academic year and will cover the top 100 students of medicine. Students should have the highest average exam grade for the last year of study – said the Marshal of Mazovia, Adam Struzik. Students should also submit a work declaration in one of the voivodeship hospitals in Mazovia or in another unit in a selected, deficit specialization.

The local government of Mazovia will allocate PLN 6.6 million for the implementation of the program in the years 2021–2023 .
