The Mathematics course taught at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics at the AGH University of Science and Technology (AFH) in Kraków has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Education in the category “Excellent course – excellence in education in the course”. The decision in this regard was made by the Presidium of the Polish Accreditation Committee.

The awarded certificate is the result of a positive assessment included in the report of the evaluation team of the Polish Accreditation Committee and confirms the highest quality of first- and second-cycle studies of general academic profile conducted at this faculty.

“This is a great distinction and appreciation of our efforts to ensure that the educational offer of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics stands at the highest level. We hope that the possibility of using this certificate until the end of the 2028/2029 academic year will contribute to the promotion of the mathematics faculty and our department”, said the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Prof. Jerzy Stochel, PhD.
