The University Center for Clinical Research Support (UCWBK) was officially opened in Wrocław. This modern unit of comprehensive clinical research support is a joint project of the Medical University of Wrocław and the University Clinical Hospital.

Key UCWBK includes the Early Phases Center, which was launched on June 1. Its launch will enable the translation of laboratory discoveries into clinical activities with a direct impact on healthcare.

The center will be used to conduct clinical trials assessing the safety and effectiveness of modern therapies at an early stage of their development – first-in-human studies, bioequivalence studies, dose escalation monitoring studies, drug interactions, proof-of-concept studies, studies requiring close pharmacokinetics monitoring / pharmacodynamics.

The activities of the Center include scientific consultancy, legal and financial assistance, as well as supervision and coordination of research.
