“We already know the technology suppliers for Poland’s first nuclear power plants. Preparations for the investments and their commissioning will involve a demand for specialists in nuclear energy. That is why, in agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science, the Wrocław University of Science and Technology is enrolling for a new master’s degree programme.

The study programme includes courses in the construction of modern nuclear reactors, mechatronics and control systems, heat flow and exchange in nuclear reactors, as well as the nuclear fuel cycle, principles of radiological protection and the operation and safety of nuclear power plants.

Nuclear power topics are not new to the Wrocław university. Already in the 1970s, students there had classes related to nuclear power plants. Many graduates now work in the nuclear sector in Canada, the USA or South Korea. The Faculty has also been running postgraduate studies in nuclear power for years.
