Nutricia Production Plant in Opole receives World Economic Forum award for innovation

Nutricia Production Plant in Opole was the first in Poland to receive the title of ‘plant of the future’ from World Economic Forum experts. The ‘Lighthouse Award’ is given to companies that apply the most innovative solutions.

Nutricia Production Plant in Opole, part of the DANONE group of companies, applied a number of innovative solutions, such as robotisation of laboratory processes or installation of automated vegetable inspection. As a result, product manufacturing costs were reduced by 19 % and productivity increased by 12 %. The carbon footprint was reduced by almost 80 %.

The Nutricia Production Plant in Opole is one of the largest DANONE plants in Europe. Their total area is almost 13 hectares. The company employs around 700 people. They produce around 1,500 types of products, including food for infants and young children, which are distributed to 101 countries on all continents”.
