The Patent Office of the Republic of Poland patented two innovative sleeping bags – one for people and the other for animals designed by the scientists of the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM).

A sleeping bag designed by the scientists is made of a soft polymer material. There is a heating mat inside. It is powered with 12 V by a portable battery, and in an ambulance by its electricity net.

The sleeping bag has a temperature sensor with a thermostat and a heating mat regulator. This allows users to set and maintain the desired temperature. The insulating layer in the sleeping bag is air. The bottom of the sleeping bag is glued with corrugated rubber, so it can be laid on the ground, snow, mud and will not freeze or slip on uneven terrain. The heating element is covered with a soft, flexible plastic that guarantees safe use.
