Opole University of Technology will cooperate with the National Labor Inspectorate in Opole. The cooperation agreement was signed by the rector of the university, Prof. Marcin Lorenc and the district labor inspector in Opole, Anna Kołodziej. The plans include joint conferences and training.
“Job protection is a very important issue, but not very popular among students. Therefore, through joint conferences, meetings, trainings, educational events and competitions, we want to change this, build our students’ knowledge in labor law, health and safety regulations”, emphasizes prof. Marcin Lorenc.
The partners will promote legal issues of human protection in the work environment, and this year they will organize a conference on safety in construction. The District Labor Inspector in Opole will also provide the university with the results of control, supervisory and preventive activities, as well as information on threats to work processes occurring in workplaces and actions taken to eliminate them.
