More than PLN 4 million from the Wielkopolska Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020 will be allocated to Poznan University of Technology in support of the university’s research and development infrastructure. This is another project of the university implemented at the Kąkolewo campus near Grodzisk Wielkopolski.

The agreement signed with the university by the marshal of the Wielkopolska voivodship concerns highly specialised technologies related to imaging of the Earth’s surface. Among other things, the funds will enable the purchase of 12 sets of unmanned surface vessels (BSP), a mobile surveillance and control station with a mobile landing pad for BSP and a set of specialised Earth surface imaging cameras.

The airport near Grodzisk Wielkopolski is the place for investments connected with the development of modern technologies: unmanned aerial vehicles, space robots or IT projects, which will enrich Wielkopolska’s potential in competing in the most advanced technologies,” reads the grodzisk.naszemiasto portal.
