The University of Economics in Katowice has received funding for the project ‘Different research paths in the economics of climate change’ as part of the Metropolitan Science Support Fund. The project is part of the “ECOnomics4Climate” project, prepared by the team involved in setting up the university’s “Centre for Economics of Climate Change”.

The first research task is a continuation of the CERES project, which was carried out by the EU Katowice research team under a grant from the Metropolitan Science Support Fund in 2022.

The other three tasks carried out in the project are: financing the activities of the GZM Metropolis through the use of green and blue bonds; tools for sustainable urban mobility – a comparative study of public transport pricing and parking policies in Europe’s largest cities and metropolises; and the role of process innovation in Silesian public hospitals in the context of climate change.
