Przemysław Czarnek to become the new minister of education and science

In the process of reconstruction of the Polish government, the ministries of national education and science and higher education will be merged. The new minister of education and science will be Dr Przemysław Czarnek, professor of the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL).

The new minister is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the Catholic University of Lublin.

In 2003, he was employed as an assistant at the Chair of Constitutional Law at the Catholic University of Lublin. He also lectured at the Kozminski University in Warsaw and at the Radom Academy of Economics. He cooperated with several law firms and legal advisers, providing legal services for local government bodies in the Lubelskie Voivodeship.

In 2006, Dr Przemysław Czarnek earned a doctor title in law with his thesis “Principles of the rule of law and social justice in the systemic practice of the Third Polish Republic”. He completed his postdoctoral studies in 2015 based on his academic achievements and the dissertation “Economic freedom. The first pillar of the social market economy”.

In 2015-2019 he was the voivode of Lublin. He has been a member of the Sejm since 2019.
