Bank Millennium has developed an eco-innovation index showing the degree of involvement of Polish regions in green transformation. The leaders in this area are Pomerania, Małopolska and Mazovia.

The report “Millennium Eco Index – eco-innovation potential of regions” was prepared in cooperation with the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków and Warsaw School of Economics.

Innovation and ecology are important trends, the combination of which has a positive impact on the economy and environment and the future of the planet. “The authors of the Millennium Eco Index, inspired by the Eco-Innovation Observatory, which periodically examines eco-innovation at the level of European Union countries, verified the approach to these two issues by individual Polish voivodeships”, announced Bank Millennium.

The Bank Millennium report shows that compared to last year, the value of the index increased in 10 voivodeships – the strongest in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Pomorskie and Łódzkie voivodeships.
