Dr Paweł Łokić of the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań received the award of the Polish Society for Social Communication for the best doctorate in the field of social communication and media sciences in 2019.

The awarded dissertation “Practices of practicing the profession of a journalist in the new media environment” was presented in October 2019. This is the first doctoral dissertation in history presented in the field of social communication and media sciences.

The award of the Polish Society of Social Communication is awarded annually by the Competition Jury. It aims to popularize research on communication and media, as well as support young media scientists at the beginning of their scientific career.
