Professor Krystyna Skalicka-Woźniak and Associate Professor Tomasz Mroczek from the Medical University of Lublin have completed research on a compound that significantly delays the symptoms of the disease. The drug had a positive effect to the mice implanted with a gene found in people suffering from Alzheimer’s.

It is worth emphasizing that the test substance is of natural origin, because such compounds are the object of interest of Lublin scientists.

Researchers want existing achievements to be the basis for further research on the drug. In this respect, Lublin researchers cooperate with a research center in Turkey. The treatment is to be patented.
