As part of the Aerocosmic Data Transmission (POLYITAN) project, a satellite communication station equipped with two robotic transmitting and receiving antennas (an R&D antenna and an R&D test and validation antenna) has been built at Poznań University of Technology.

The station is equipped with a 30 GHz real-time spectrum analyser, a 30 GHz radio frequency generator, programmable radio modules with a set of 6 control computers, a hypothesis testing cluster set, a server and control centre command system software for managing the operation of the transmitter/receiver antennas and conducting satellite communications, software for acquiring, collecting and processing satellite imaging data.

The resulting satellite communications station will enable communication with artificial satellites of the Earth and the testing and validation of operational prototypes of structures resulting from the implementation of research and development work in research areas.
