Scientists from the Białystok University of Technology develop new solutions for a hospital in Białystok

02.02.2021

Innovative solutions for the Białystok hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration are created by scientists of the Białystok University of Technology. As part of the “Protect Med” project, they have developed: a disinfecting robot, unattended registration service and a mobile medical assistant.

The project is expected to increase security in the coronavirus pandemic.

One of the planned solutions is the MedTAB system. With its help, patients will be able to register themselves in the hospital. In a small room, they will fill in and sign the necessary electronic forms and scan their documents. The system will measure their temperature, pressure, weight and height. The rooms will be automatically disinfected and constantly connected to the hospital staff.

Scientists are also expanding the RobUV created in 2020 – an automatic robot that disinfects surfaces using UV-C radiation.

A BOBOT 2.0 is a remotely controlled medical assistant that will allow hospital staff to safely contact patients, perform simple examinations and deliver small parcels.
