SELENE European University Rectors’ Conference held in Krakow

On the initiative of the Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation of the University of Agriculture in Krakow (URK), Prof. Andrzej Sechman, the Conference of Rectors co-participating in the project to create the SELENE European University was held on 19-20 January 2023 at URK.

“European Universities” is a network of universities working together on the basis of transnational alliances or agreements between universities, supporting the quality and competitiveness of European higher education. The aim of such partnerships is to foster international cooperation between higher education institutions in Europe in the fields of research, education, service to society and innovation.

The aim of the conference was to discuss the main aspects of the project and, above all, the signing of the mission and strategy of the alliance (SELENE) by the Rectors of the partner universities.

The meeting was attended by representatives of universities from seven countries: Bulgaria (University of Forestry), the Netherlands (AERES Universtiy of Applied Sciences), Romania (University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest), Slovakia (University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice), Turkey (Ankara University), Italy (University of Messina) and Poland (URK).
