Four students from the University of Szczecin (US) received scholarships under the first scholarship program of the Mayor of Szczecin for the best graduates of high schools and technicians.

The aim of the program is to encourage young gifted people to take up and finish education at public universities in Szczecin, prevent outflow of talented high school graduates from the city and help in acquiring qualified staff for regional business.

– The scholarship also has the task of developing the prestige of Szczecin’s public universities, promoting the educational offer and increasing the competitiveness and economic development of entrepreneurs operating on the local market – says Piotr Zieliński from the City Information Center.

Student laureates are Karolina Łukawska from journalism and social communication; Weronika Niedźwiecka from management; Kacper Paszyński from legislation and Piotr Smuda from logistics.
