Students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology come third in the Moto Engineering Italy competition

Students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology took third place in the Moto Engineering Italy competition. The constructors of the LEM Photon electric motorcycle coped well both in static and dynamic competitions, losing only to the host teams.

The LEM Photon is a motor racing road motorcycle of the Moto3 class. Its maximum speed is 195 km / h. It is equipped with a battery, originally designed by the students. It consists of almost 644 cells with a maximum power of 36 kW, accumulating over 6.2 kWh of energy. The source of the motorcycle’s drive is a synchronous motor with permanent magnets with a maximum power of 42 kW.

Ten teams from Germany, Spain, Italy, Hungary and Poland met at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari di Imola. The first two places in the competition were taken by the hosts – the Italian teams of Impulse Modena Racing and Unibo Motorsport.
