Five Polish research teams became the laureates of the competition organized by the M-ERA.NET 2 network financing research in the field of materials science and material engineering. 236 research applications were submitted in the M-ERA.NET 2 Call 2020 competition. Funding of EUR 32.3 million was awarded to 42 projects.
Polish projects include:
MOGLiS: Cathodes for Li-S cells based on MOF @ rGO. Polish team leader: Prof. Eng. Marek Łukasz Marcinek (coordinator of the entire international project), Warsaw University of Technology. Project with partners from Norway.
TAGGED: Research, development and characterization of the tunable graphene light emitting hybrid MOEMS instrument. Polish team leader: Dr Eng. Anna Kozłowska, Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics. Project with partners from the Czech Republic and Germany.
LaSensA: Ordered two-dimensional nanostructures in laser and sensor techniques. Polish team leader: Prof. Stefan Jurga, University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań. Project with partners from Japan, Lithuania and Germany.
NanoBainControl: Accelerated nanobainite transformation in low-alloy steels shaped in multi-stage forging processes. Polish team leader: Dr Eng. Magdalena Barbara Jabłońska, Silesian University of Technology. Project with partners from Germany and Poland (AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow).
DePriSS: Development of “3D printing – thermal spraying” systems for dynamic and shock loading applications. Polish team leader: Dr Eng. Adam Jan Niesłon, Opole University of Technology. Project with partners from the Czech Republic and Germany.
