The signing of a cooperation agreement between the Vilnius Branch of the University of Bialystok (UwB) and the Chancellery of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania took place at the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. The agreement was signed by the Chancellor of the Seimas, Modestas Gelbūdas, and the Dean of the Vilnius Branch of the University of Bialystok (UwB), Dr Jerzy Halicki, Prof. of UwB.

The agreement includes cooperation between UwB and the Chancellery of the Seimas of Lithuania in studies, scientific research, development work and project activities, while harmonising theory and practice in developing the competencies of students, lecturers, and staff of the Chancellery. 

The aim of the agreement is to strengthen social responsibility, promote an integrated system of studies and generate added value through the implementation of projects. The agreement also includes the possibility for students of the Vilnius Branch of UwB to undertake work placements at the Chancellery of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
