From the new academic year, the Faculty of Theology of the University of Opole is launching a study of Christian Oriental Studies. This is the only such major in Poland.
The new course will familiarize students with the issues of Oriental Christians (mainly of Asian origin) and the context of their lives. It will teach graduates to be experts engaged in aid and educational projects related to the issues of the Christian East.
The study program includes a wide range of subjects within the theological, humanities and social sciences. It will enable the use of knowledge and skills of specialists in particular fields not only from the theological faculty, but also from other faculties of the Opole University and other research centers.
The studies are a full-time undergraduate course, but to a large extent approx. 50% will be conducted online; moreover, to facilitate access for working people, classes will be held mainly in the afternoons.
