University of Warsaw to launch Masurian Center for Biodiversity and Nature Education

The “Masurian Center for Biodiversity and Nature Education” is being constructed in Urwitałt in the Masuria region. The investment is carried out by the University of Warsaw. It allows to create such an attractive science center in the Masurian region.

The investment in the Masuria involves “restoring protected habitats, improving the existence of protected species and water conditions through the construction of damming facilities, fords and ponds”.

The infrastructure of the Field Station will be modernized. The educational part will consist of two buildings: the Interactive Science Center and the Nature Workshop Center.

The Science Center will present the water and mud environments of Masuria including aquariums with live animals, multimedia exhibits, an educational playground for children and many other attractions.

The “Masurian Center for Biodiversity and Nature Education” will be created thanks to co-financing from the Regional Operational Program of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. This project will be implemented in close cooperation with the Masurian Landscape Park, which will gain new space for educational activities.
