23.04.2021

The University of Wrocław begins close scientific cooperation with the Helmholtz Center – one of the most important German research networks. The partners will develop research on the use of artificial intelligence in autonomous vehicles.

Based on the successful cooperation in the Görlitz Center for Advanced Systems Understanding – CASUS, the scientific director of Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, Prof. Sebastian M. Schmidt, and the rector of the University of Wrocław, prof. Przemysław Wiszewski, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Both institutions are planning to strengthen the Central European Research Area and the links between Saxony and Poland. Through CASUS, the University of Wrocław will bring its extensive experience in the field of autonomous driving and machine learning. Their plans include the joint recruitment of scientists, the organization of workshops and exchange programs, and the dissemination of scientific information.
