In the marshal’s office of the province Lubuskie Voivodeship, the contract for the construction of the Space Technology Park was signed. One of the partners of this almost PLN 61 million contract is the University of Zielona Góra.

The construction of the Park is an extremely important project for the economic development of the region, especially in the context of innovation. For the University, the park will be a good base for realizing joint, prestigious projects with the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences operating in the University’s Science and Technology Park.

– We are now waiting for “something” to grow out of the ground and for first good results – says Vice-Rector for University Development, Prof. Andrzej Pieczyński.

The project is financed by the European Union with PLN 41.9 million. The voivodeship’s own contribution is PLN 18.7 million, while PLN 607,000 PLN is added by Hertz Systems company operating in the security, military teleinformation, satellite navigation and space systems.
