West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin receives modern equipment

The Laboratory of Technology Hall of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin received modern equipment – a CTX beta 800 TC turning and milling center. It will be used for research related to with the design and optimization of production processes – their automation and robotization.

The new equipment is the size of a small bus. Its characteristic feature is the high concentration of technological operations that can be performed with it. It contains a lathe and milling machine, which can produce various elements and mill various shapes on them, e.g. keyways, gear teeth, screw lines, polygonal ends, etc.

The device was purchased as part of a project financed by EU funds from the Regional Operational Program of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is co-financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The turning and milling center cost over PLN 2 million.
