Wrocław graduate receives the Prime Minister’s award for doctoral thesis defended at the Wrocław University of Economics

Dr Mariusz Maziarz, the author of a dissertation presented at the Wrocław University of Economics – has won the Prime Minister’s Award for the best doctoral thesis defended in 2022. The awarded dissertation is ‘The Philosophy of Causality in Economics: Causal Inferences and Policy Proposal’.

The laureate was awarded for an outstanding paper in the philosophy of economics on the nature of economic causal inferences and their application to economic policy. The work manifests a deep knowledge of economic theories and a critical analysis of them.

The Prime Minister’s Awards for outstanding doctoral dissertations, achievements giving rise to the award of the degree of doctor habilitated in arts and for achievements in scientific and implementation activities have been awarded since 1994.
