Researchers from the Department of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with partners from Germany and Spain, will investigate innovative materials for electronic and sensor applications based on copper and glass. They have received a grant from the National Science Centre for their project as part of the M-ERA.NET 3 competition.
Together with their partners, the Wrocław-based researchers will research and develop concepts for innovative multifunctional materials for electronic and sensor applications based on copper as a highly conductive material and glass as a dielectric material. Through the use of additive manufacturing techniques, miniaturisation of three-dimensional electrical and electronic components will be possible.
The coordinator of the project ‘Copper conductive lines with glass insulation by a melt extrusion process’ is the German Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology.
