Zamość Higher School to launch Monoprofile Medical Simulation Center

23.12.2020

The Szymon Szymonowic Higher School in Zamość (UPZ) is launching a Monoprofile Medical Simulation Center, which will be equipped with its own ambulance, an elevator for transporting beds, phantoms, modern electronic equipment and new laboratories.

-The specific feature of the Monoprofile Medical Center is that the training rooms resemble a hospital room. Another feature is also the fact that students will acquire the ability to work with electronic devices at the stage of education at the university. We have built a garage for ambulances and we will also have our own vehicle, so that students can practice the procedures from the very beginning, from entering the HED or admission room, depending on where they will work later – informs Jerzy Korniluk, Chancellor of the UPZ.

For the implementation of the project, UPZ received funding in the amount of PLN 2.5 million from the Minister of Education and Science. The Mono-profile Medical Simulation Center will be located in nearly 1,000 square meters and is scheduled to be completed next year.
