The University of Zielona Góra, Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg and the Centre für Energietechnologie Brandenburg will implement the project Green Energy – Spree-Neiße-Bober Region as an innovative borderland for knowledge and technology transfer in the field of smart energy storage and the hydrogen economy.

The project involves the development and implementation of intelligent multi-energy systems based on two low-energy test houses at the Science and Technology Park in Nowy Kisielin, the battery storage laboratory of the University of Zielona Góra and the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg storage centre.

“In the project, we are attempting to critically analyse currently available technologies in order to meet the requirements for the transition to a green European order. In such a way that a reliable, secure supply of the cheapest possible energy carriers is possible,” says Prof Robert Smoleński of the University of Zielona Góra.
